The work of new British musical theatre partnership Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn will be celebrated in a special concert at the St James Theatre on Sunday 20 November.
An Evening of Webborn & Finn will feature songs from the duo’s well-received 2015 musical The Clockmaker’s Daughter, material from their second show, Animus, and a preview of the writers’ new material.
Hosted by Paul Brangan, the concert will also showcase the talents of students from the Musical Theatre Academy’s graduating year who featured in the recent staging of Animus. They will include Sabrina Aloueche, Matthew Croke, Rosie Glossop, Caroline Kay, Joshua LeClair, Alex Lodge, Emily Lynne, Nathaniel Morisson, Lauren James Ray and Sinéad Wall.
Further casting is to be announced.
Directed by Robert McWhir, the show’s creative team includes Webborn as musical director of the band which is made up of Paul Mercer (percussion), Lauren Forder (violin), Julia Wagner (Cello) and Doug Grannell (double bass).
Webborn and Finn’s The Clockmaker’s Daughter won critical acclaim during its sell-out run at the Landor Theatre and a sell-out concert at St James Studio. Animus, which was commissioned by the MTA, made its debut at Fleet Street’s Bridewell Theatre last month.
