Resonance FM’s The Curtain Up Show will return to the heart of the West End on Friday 7 April from 3.30pm until 5pm for a live Olivier Awards preview special.
Presented in association with innovative app service TodayTix, the show – which will be broadcast just 48 hours before the prestigious ceremony – will feature the hosts of the popular weekly theatre chat show, Tim McArthur and Nathan Matthews, chatting to cast members and creatives from some of this year’s Olivier-nominated productions.
Stars including Half a Sixpence’s Charlie Stemp, Emma Williams and Ian Bartholomew will be quizzed in front of a live studio audience while Michael Xavier (currently starring in Sunset Boulevard at the Palace Theatre on Broadway) and Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer (currently appearing in The Play That Goes Wrong at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway) have also recorded interviews for the broadcast.
McArthur and Matthews will also welcome back leading industry commentators Mark Shenton and Terri Paddock to share their personal predictions ahead of the prestigious ceremony on Sunday 9 April.
Free audience tickets for the broadcast will be available via a Ticket Lottery in the TodayTix app between now and Wednesday 5 April.

Launched on arts radio specialist Resonance FM in May 2012, the show offers a light-hearted view of the current state of London theatre and showcases both established and new musical theatre talent.
The radio station is available on the DAB+ platform and can be heard across Greater London, Brighton and Hove, nationally on Radioplayer and live streamed to the rest of the world.
