Australian country music star Darren Coggan will bring his hit show Peace Train – The Cat Stevens Story to UK in August for a nationwide tour.
An evening of musical storytelling featuring a full live band, the show features all Cat Stevens’ hits and stories behind his most famous songs.
Launched in 2010, with a sold-out concert at the Sydney Opera House, the critically-acclaimed show has played every major theatre in Australia and toured the country in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Presented by Maple Tree Entertainment Ltd, Peace Train – The Cat Stevens Story features Coggan and his band performing 23 of Stevens’ greatest hits including ‘Wild World’, ‘The First Cut is the Deepest’, ‘Father and Son’, and ‘Lady D’Arbanville’.
The show’s UK premiere tour will begin in Scotland at the Perth Concert Hall on 29 August and will include performances in Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, London, and Brighton.
One of Australia’s most successful recording artists, Coggan is a multi-award winner in his home country. In 2016 he was awarded Male Artist of the Year at the Australian Celtic Music Awards and he is due to release his new album The Wide Horizon this year.
