Comedian Desiree Burch will replace the previously announced Samuel Anderson in the line-up for jazz-infused This Joint is Jumpin’ which is due to play The Other Palace Studio from 4-15 April.

Burch will join a cast that includes multi award-winner Lillias White (making her London debut in the production), internationally known tap dance artist Michela Marino Lerman, award-winning tap dancer Joseph Wiggan, vocalist Michael Mwenso and his band The Shakes (Dion Keith Kerr IV on bass, Mathis Picard on piano, Mark Kavuma on trumpet, Kyle Poole on drums, Ruben Fox on tenor saxophone, and South African jazz vocalist Vuyo Sotashe).
Produced by Hoagy B. Carmichael, the son of legendary American composer Hoagy Carmichael, This Joint is Jumpin’ features the music of jazz icon Fats Waller.
The show, which has a press night on 6 April, is directed by Patrice Miller, with choreography by dancer Lerman and vocalist Mwenso serving as musical director.
