New British musical comedy Devilish! has world premiere at Landor Theatre

Devilish artworkNew British musical comedy Devilish! will be given its world premiere at London’s Landor Theatre on 4 May.

With music by BB Cooper (Bronte) and book and lyrics by Chris Burgess (Sleeping Arrangements), the Artfield presentation will play the Clapham venue until 29 May.

Featuring 16 original songs and drawing inspiration from the words of John Ruskin and H.G. Wells, the offbeat show tells the story of an angel who falls to Earth and into the clutches of an evil TV entrepreneur who offers him a world of devilish delights in return for his soul.

Casting is yet to be announced but the creative team headed by director Marc Urquhart includes musical director Ian MacGregor, choreographer Pavel Stroudal, designer David Shields and lighting designer David Lambert.
