Joe McElderry will follow up his second stint in Bill Kenwright’s touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with his own concert tour to celebrate the release of his fifth solo album.
After hanging up his multicoloured coat in June, the former X Factor winner will prepare to embark on a nationwide concert tour to promote his new album Saturday Night At the Movies.
Available to pre-order on iTunes from Mother’s Day, the album features McElderry’s new single ‘Gloria’ which is currently available to buy on Amazon as a limited edition CD.
McElderry will begin his Gloria tour at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on 14 July. The tour will then head for Brighton, Liverpool, Aylesbury, Cardiff, Crawley, Salford, Bristol, Woking, Birmingham, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Southport, Buxton, Oxford, Norwich, York, Sunderland, Grimsby, Folkestone, High Wycombe, Stoke-on-Trent, Weston-Super-Mare, and Wimbledon. The tour is due to end at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton on 21 August 2017. Further dates are to be announced.
The shows will feature songs from McElderry’s latest album of film and theatre hits including ‘I’m into Something Good’, Love is All Around’ and ‘Daydream Believer’.
McElderry will be joined on stage by three special guests, fellow Joseph alumnis Lloyd Daniels, Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis.
The 2017 edition of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the longest-running tour in history, is due to end at the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (13-17 June).
