Sara Poyzer will follow up her success as Donna Sheridan in the first tour of Mamma Mia! by reprising the role as part of the cast at London’s Novello Theatre from 12 June.

Poyzer, whose previous West End credits include playing Billy’s Mum in Billy Elliot, will take to the stage alongside fellow Dynamos Kate Graham (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Tanya, and Jacqueline Braun (Jesus Christ Superstar) reprising the role of Rosie, a role she previously played in the touring production.

Announced in the same week as the multi award-winning show celebrates its 18th birthday in London, the June cast changes also include the promotion of Georgina Castle from the ensemble and First Cover Sophie Sheridan to play the role in her own right.

Christopher Jordan-Marshall will make his West End debut as Sky. Joining him will be Bobbie Little as Ali, Harriet Bunton as Lisa, Damian Buhagiar as Pepper and Nye Rees as Eddie, with Caroline Deverill playing the role of Donna for certain performances. They will be joining Richard Trinder, who plays Sam, Alasdair Harvey who plays Harry, and Dugald Bruce-Lockhart who plays Bill.

Judy Craymer’s inventive re-working of the hits of Swedish supergroup Abba, Mamma Mia! has to date been seen by 60 million people in 50 different productions in 16 different languages, grossing more than $2billion at the box office. In 2011 it became the first Western musical to be staged in Mandarin in China.

The show which originally opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, is currently in the midst of its first UK tour. Mamma Mia! moved into the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004, before reopening in its new London venue, the Novello Theatre in 2012.

The London production has been seen by nearly eight million people. The show has celebrated more than 7,500 performances in London and has broken box office records in all three of its London homes. A new booking period, taking the show up until 3 March 2018, opens tomorrow (7 April).

With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

Mamma Mia! is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East & Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal.
