To celebrate the Olivier Awards with MasterCard, Fenwick of Bond Street will host a one-off shop with the stars evening on 10 April to raise funds and awareness for the Olivier Award’s official charity Acting For Others. On the night, Fenwick of Bond Street will be filled with the crème de la crème of British actors as they take to the spotlight, manning the tills and being personal shoppers, with Fenwick itself donating a percentage of sales from the evening.
The highlight of the evening will be an In Conversation With Dame Judi Dench, nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Peter and Alice. This is an exclusive chance to hear personally from the multi Olivier Award winner and president of the Acting For Others charity with champagne and nibbles care of the Bond & Brook restaurant.
There will also be the chance to take part in a special Q&A with Julian Fellowes, the screenwriter behind TV sensation Downton Abbey and Oscar-winning film Gosford Park. The informal question and answer session will see Fellowes join Harper’s Bazaar also in the Bond & Brook restaurant.
For the rest of the evening you can expect to see appearances from stars of stage and screen including musical entertainment from West End performers including Maria Friedman and Michael Xavier and dancing from Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing’s Natalie Gumede. All stars appear in support of the charity Acting For Others, an organisation made up of 15 individual theatrical charities which between them offer financial and emotional assistance and support to those in the entertainment profession who have fallen on hard times.
The Q&A with Julian Fellowes begins at 6.15pm.
In Conversation with Dame Judi Dench begins at 7.15pm.
