Leading independent producer Paul Taylor-Mills is joining Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group to work on programming for the newly acquired St James Theatre.
Taylor-Mills will join RUG as advisory producer with special responsibility for working on the company’s plans for the latest addition to the group’s portfolio of venues.
The producer whose recent credits include the London premieres of In The Heights and Carrie: The Musical, will continue to work independently on his own projects while working on the St James Theatre programme and other selected RUG titles.
Commenting on his new appointment, Taylor-Mills said: “I’m thrilled and humbled to be working with Andrew and his exceptional team at RUG on the next phase at St. James Theatre.
“London has been crying out for a home dedicated to staging new work and our plan is to make St James the destination venue at which to do this. We want to throw open the doors as wide as we can to make sure we’re hearing the length and breadth of new voices in musical theatre around the world. St James Theatre provides us with the perfect opportunity to do this and I’m looking forward to sharing our plans over the coming months.”
Further details about the acquisition of St James Theatre and future programming will be announced by the Group later this year.
