Unique cabaret and performance venue The Crazy Coqs, part of the Brasserie Zedel complex in central London, will be relaunched in September 2016 and all programming taken over by United Agents, the UK’s literary and talent agency.
The relaunch is part of Brasserie Zédel and United Agents’ launch of Live At Zédel, a new live music and entertainment concept. This has been billed as a unique collaboration between Corbin and King and United Agents, bringing together all art forms – live music, theatre, comedy and literary events – in one space.
Launching with a programme of regular house events, one-off performances from international stars and showcases of London’s hottest talent, Live At Zédel will also feature seasonal programmes curated by well-known names from the worlds of art, literature and fashion as well as themed parties and collaborative presentations.
Forming part of Corbin and King’s London portfolio, which includes restaurants such as The Wolseley and The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel is situated on the former site of the Regent Palace Hotel. With a historic Beaux Arts interior, Brasserie Zédel has transported the style and atmosphere of a grand Parisian brasserie to the heart of London.
Representing some of the world’s best known authors, comedians and actors, United Agents’ clients include Kate Winslet, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hardy, Keira Knightley, James Corden, Julian Barnes and Alan Bennett. Having launched a music division, United Agents has recently begun looking after some of the world’s most exciting musicians and performers.
Live At Zédel will be headed up by UA’s Alex Fane, who is busy raising the profile of live jazz, blues and soul acts in the capital’s music scene and beyond. His aim is to transform the space into London’s hottest live venue, and to run a mixed programme of live entertainment open to all under the brand Live At Zédel.
