The Curtain Up Show has returned to London’s arts radio station, Resonance 104.4fm, for a brand new series. Tim McArthur and Nathan Matthews will be joined live in the studio at 4pm on Friday 18 September by Cassie Compton and Sarah Ingram from the cast of See What I Wanna See at the Jermyn Street Theatre, and West End leading ladies Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman will be revealing all about their concert at the Prince Edward Theatre on 27 September.
On Friday 2 October, legendary composer Leslie Bricusse will join McArthur and Matthews in the studio, along with Dave Willetts and Siobhan McCarthy from the cast of Pure Imagination at the St James Theatre.
This series, listeners will have the chance to go head-to-head with host Tim McArthur in a new quiz. Each week, a listener will have 60 seconds to answer as many theatre related questions as possible, to see if they have what it takes to Out-McArthur McArthur!
McArthur (having been subjected to very loud music through glittery headphones (in true gameshow style) will have another 60 seconds to defend his title, and prove that he is indeed the stagiest of them all. If the challenger succeeds, not only can they say with pride that that managed to Out-McArthur McArthur, but they will also receive a £20 Theatre Token to put towards seeing a show of their choice! Listeners can register their interest in taking part at www.thecurtainupshow.squarespace.com/quiz/.
Each week on The Curtain Up Show, McArthur and Matthews take a light-hearted look at the current state of London theatre, showcasing established and up-and-coming talent both on stage and behind the scenes.
The weekly theatre chat show launched on Resonance 104.4fm in May 2012. Resonance 104.4fm will begin broadcasting on the DAB+ platform in September, with an increased reach across Greater London, Brighton and Hove.
Listeners can also tune in online at www.resonancefm.com/listen.
