Broadway actress Rachel Potter plays first London concert at Hippodrome

Actress Rachel Potter swaps Broadway for London on 11 July

Broadway star and former US X Factor finalist Rachel Potter will play her first London concert date on 11 July.

The New Orleans-born singer, who has starred on Broadway in Wicked and The Addams Family, will play the intimate 180-seat cabaret theatre Club 11 at London’s Hippodrome.

The singer-songwriter who began her career as a teenage Christian recording artist reached Broadway after performing in a variety of iconic roles at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Potter left Broadway in 2013 to go back to her first love, country music, and won a place in the Top 12 in the final season of Simon Cowell’s ill-fated American version of the X Factor.

The singer’s version of Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love’ on the show was a YouTube hit and is included on her new independently released album Not So Black and White.

Potter’s London show will feature her performing original songs plus a selection of Broadway classics and songs she performed on the X Factor.
