Daisy Pulls It Off continues at the Charing Cross Theatre, London until 30 June 2018.

A huge round of applause for the Charing Cross Theatre for hosting Guildford School of Acting’s (GSA) polished production of Denise Deegan’s Daisy Pulls It Off.
The show is performed by the graduating students of the BA Actor-Musician course and what an extremely talented bunch they are. These students are the first graduates of this new course and they really demonstrate the high standard of their training. Not only are they extremely impressive musicians but also act to a very high standard and have beautiful voices. It is so refreshing to hear such beautiful clear diction and projection. The ensemble singing is spine-tinglingly good.
Daisy Pulls It Off is an affectionate jolly hockey sticks spoof about life in a girls’ boarding school. All the students give excellent performances but a special mention must be given to Marina Papadopoulos as Daisy, Katy Ellis who is brilliant as her closest friend and partner in crime Trixie, Mark Fitzsimmons as Mr Scoblowski and Jacob Leeson as Mr Thompson.
Nothing about the show says student production. The production design by Ilona Dearden is impressive, with good lighting from Alex Marshall and sound by Matt Pearson. The excellent musical staging is by Phyllida Crowley-Smith and faultless direction from Nicholas Scrivens.
It is only a short run so get down to the Charing Cross Theatre and see some excellent new talent as they prepare for their professional careers.
Congratulations to all involved and to GSA for providing such a wonderful showcase for their students. Everyone should be very proud.
