Kieran Brown returns to Vienna for this weekend’s concert, West End Meets Broadway!
Kieran Brown, currently cover Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, will return to Vienna, where he was last seen in concert at the Theater Drachengasse and in Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick… Boom!, for West End Meets Broadway on Sunday 22 November at Vienna’s English Theatre. He will be joined by Suzanne Carey Kirchner (Die Schöne und das Biest, Tanz der Vampire, Sister Act). Belush Korenyi will accompany them on piano.
The evening will feature music by Stephen Sondheim, William Finn, Stephen Schwartz and many more. Packed with plenty of familiar melodies and a few lesser known ones, the show boasts two special guests: Jacqueline Braun (Marry Me a Little, Mamma Mia!) and Reinwald Kranner (currently in Mary Poppins).
Kieran Brown trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is currently understudying the role of the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London. Previous credits include Elphaba’s Father and cover Dr Dillamond/Wizard in Wicked (Apollo Victoria), cover Raoul in Love Never Dies (Adelphi Theatre), Love Never Dies in Concert (Ronacher Theatre, Vienna), Les Misérables (Palace Theatre, London), Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert (O2 Arena), Aladdin (King’s Theatre Glasgow), tick, tick… Boom! (Vienna), Pipe Dream (Union Theatre), Phantom in Maury Yeston’s Phantom (UK premiere), Tony Christie/Elton John in Laughter in the Rain (UK tour), The Importance of Being Earnest and The Woman in Black (Vienna).
Cabarets include My Big Fat Musical Cabaret (Union Theatre, Pheasantry and Lauderdale House), Music That Matters (Union Theatre, London), West End Winters and West End Spring (Vienna), A West End Christmas In Glasgow and most recently his new show Once Upon A Song (Lauderdale House).
Brown is a founding member of the Boys of the Barricade.
Suzanne Carey Kirchner’s Vienna credits are the one-woman-show Bad Dates at Vienna’s English Theatre, Sister Act (Ensemble/Mother Superior), the world premiere of Frank Wildhorn’s The Count of Monte Cristo, Ms Sherman in Fame, Aldonza in The Man of La Mancha, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and she was an original cast member of Roman Polanski’s Dance of the Vampires, and of the European premiere of Beauty and the Beast.
