Fans of the critically-acclaimed musical Six will be able to join in the fun at the show’s first Sing Along performance at the Arts Theatre this summer.
Now extended until January 2020, the second London season for the rock-flavoured show in which the wives of Henry VIII take centre stage, will break new ground on 6 June 2019 by offering their audience the chance to sing their favourite songs with the cast without fear of breaking theatre etiquette.
Recently crowned Album of the Year – Best UK Cast Recording by Resonance FM’s The Curtain Up Show, the Six Studio Cast Recording has already been played over six million times.
Audience members for the one-night only singalong performance at 8.30pm on 6 June will be invited to dress as their favourite Tudor-pop star from the show or just ‘dress to impress’. One audience member will win the title of ‘Queen for the Night’ and a prize of a unique Singalong Six poster signed by the cast from that night’s show.
Speaking from Chicago where they are casting the first US production of SIX, the show’s creators Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow said: “!!!!!! OMG this is going to be so much fun! We honestly have the best fans in the West End and they are going to Take. The. Roof. Off. The. Arts. Theatre!!
“Ever since the album was released, we have been blown away by the engagement and support from everyone – we are constantly amazed by videos people post online singing/dancing/lip-syncing along to the tracks. It’s so wonderful to see how much these songs mean to some people and so we cannot wait to give them a chance to get their Queen on!

Written by university friends Marlow and Moss, the musical which was nominated in 2017 for Musical Theatre Review’s inaugural Best Musical Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, puts the spotlight on the Tudor King’s wives as they form a 21st century girl band. The show’s first Arts Theatre run followed a successful return visit to the Edinburgh Fringe and a well-received four-date London run in January 2018.
After collecting the 2018 BroadwayWorld Award for Best Ensemble in a Play or Musical, the second London run of the show features returning cast members: Jarneia Richard-Noel (The Color Purple in Concert, Cadogan Hall) as Catherine Of Aragon; Millie O’Connell (UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie) as Anne Boleyn; Natalie Paris (Sunday in the Park With George at the Menier Chocolate Factory) as Jane Seymour; Alexia McIntosh (Godiva Rocks at Belgrade Theatre) as Anna Of Cleves; and Aimie Atkinson (Zorro the Musical UK tour) as Katherine Howard. Two recent Guildford School of Acting graduates, Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr) and Grace Mouat (swing/dance captain) complete the cast.
The cast includes two additional alternates: Vicki Manser (Bat Out of Hell, West End) as alternate Anne Boleyn and Anna of Cleves and Courtney Stapleton (Les Misérables, West End) as alternate Catherine of Aragon and Catherine Parr.
Following the first West End season, the touring production visited Kingston’s Rose Theatre, Southampton’s Nuffield Theatre, The Lowry, Salford and Glasgow SEC.
Presented by Kenny Wax and Global Musicals, the show which features tracks including ‘Ex Wives’, ‘Haus of Holbein’ and ‘Don’t Lose Ur Head’, is directed by co-creator Moss and Jamie Armitage.
The creative team also includes choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille and musical supervisor Joe Beighton, with set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse and orchestrations by Tom Curran.
Six is the first musical from Marlow and Moss, two thirds of the award-winning theatre company Hot Gay Time Machine. Six will debut in the US at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre from 14 May until 30 June.
