Ground-breaking Eurovision winner Dana International will bring more than a touch of glitter and glamour to West End Eurovision 2019 later this month.
The star who claimed the Eurovision crown for Israel in Birmingham 1998 will perform winning song ‘DIVA’ at London’s Adelphi Theatre on Sunday 28 April in a show which will also feature Michael Rice performing this year’s UK entry ‘Bigger Than Us’.
Winner of the BBC singing competition All Together Now and the broadcaster’s Eurovision: You Decide, Rice will preview his performance at this year’s 64th Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv on 18 May.
Raising funds for Make A Difference Trust, the UK-based charity involved in the fight against HIV and AIDS, the sequin-drenched show returned last year for the first time in four years,
Last year’s big winners the cast of The Phantom of the Opera will be battling to hold onto their crown against teams from Aladdin, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Follies, Mamma Mia!, Only Fools and Horses and Wicked.
Produced by TheatreMAD, the event involves teams from the West End’s biggest shows donning sparkles and belting out Eurovision hits (and misses). This year the teams will compete for four trophies: The Champions, The Best Ident Movie, The Best Creative and this year’s new award for Outstanding Gorgeousness.
