Come From Away cast and creatives to feature in next One Night Only online event

Cast and creatives from international hit musical Come From Away will unite online for the fourth instalment in the popular One Night Only series this month.

Panel guests for the unique, virtual, interactive evening will include writers Irene Sankoff and David Hein, director Christopher Ashley, musical stager Kelly Devine, musical supervisor and arranger Ian Eisendrath, producer Sue Frost, Michael Rubinoff from Sheridan College and the Canadian Music Theatre Project, along with international cast members; Jonathan Andrew Hume (West End), Caesar Samayoa (Broadway), Barbara Fulton (Toronto) and Christine Toy Johnson (North American Tour)

Presented by SimG Productions and Musical Theatre Radio, the Come From Away One Night Only event on YouTube on 19 December 2020 will follow on from similar online reunions of the team behind From Here To Eternity, and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and the celebration of the 1998 premiere production of Saturday Night Fever.

Tickets for Come From Away One Night Only on 19 December cost £11.50. Doors open at 7pm with the event streaming from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Guests are subject to change.

Hosted by director and producer Simon Greiff, the unique event series features live-streamed discussion and Q&A sessions with the cast and creatives from major musicals. All profits from the One Night Only series are donated to Acting For Others, the umbrella organisation which provides financial and emotional support to theatre industry workers in need through its 14 member charities.

Inspired by the remarkable true story of the 7,000 stranded air passengers who found refuge in a small Canadian town in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 terror attack, the show that celebrates man’s humanity at a time when the world was horrified by the depths of its inhumanity, landed at London’s Phoenix Theatre in late January 2019 following a limited engagement at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

Come From Away has won multiple awards including four Oliviers including Best New Musical, the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for director Ashley, five Outer Critics Circle Awards, three Drama Desk, four Helen Hayes Awards, six San Diego Critics Circle Awards and three Toronto Theatre Critics Awards
