Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Alexander S Bermange’s musical revue I Wish My Life Were Like A Musical at London entertainment hub Live At Zédel.
Wicked stars Suzie Mathers (Mamma Mia!) and Oliver Savile (The Phantom of the Opera) will join former Rocky Horror co-stars Liam Tamne (The Phantom of the Opera) and Diana Vickers (Son of a Preacher Man) for the new show which will play nine performances beginning on 9 April.
Directed by Paul Foster, the latest work from musical comedy composer Bermange covers the journey from eager drama school graduate to demanding diva through to past-it chorus member and bitter has-been or ‘never-was’.
A regular contributor to BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service, Bermange’s writing credits include musicals The Route to Happiness, Thirteen Days and the multi award-winning Shadowless. The writer recently topped the iTunes comedy album chart with Whit & Whimsy, a collection of his songs recorded by a star-studded line-up of stage and screen favourites.
