The musical Another Night Before Christmas will receive its UK premiere at South London’s Bridge House Theatre this festive season.
Starring Olivier Award-winning George Maguire (Sunny Afternoon) and West End favourite Rachael Wooding (We Will Rock You), the show will run from Monday 28 November until Friday 23 December.
The production, which will be staged by Guy Retallack (the director of Bridge House’s previous seasonal hits It’s A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol: More Or Less), will also feature the vocal talent of fellow Bridge House founder Rachel Tucker.
Tucker, who is currently reprising her role as Elphaba in the West End’s 10th Anniversary cast of Wicked will provide voiceovers for the show along with fellow West End star Oliver Tompsett (Wicked, We Will Rock You) who is due to be seen in Disaster at the
Charing Cross Theatre next month.
With a book and lyrics by actor/writer Sean Grennan and music by Leah Okimoto, the US-based team behind musical comedies Married Alive! and A Dog’s Life, had its world premiere at the American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City in 2007.
Set on Christmas Eve when a social worker finds her quiet Christmas interrupted by an apparently homeless man who may or may not be Santa Claus, Another Night Before Christmas is produced by Bridge House Productions SE20 and Climar Productions.
