Sean Keany and Cameron Patmore have joined the cast of the multi-award-winning production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers for the spring leg of the current UK tour.

Keany will take over as Narrator with Patmore stepping into the role of Perkins alongside Vivienne Carlyle who will continue to give her acclaimed performance as Mrs Johnstone at most venues. Another former Mrs Johnstone will return to the role for two weeks only at the Liverpool Empire in March.

Presented by Bill Kenwright Ltd, the continuing cast includes Sean Jones and Joe Sleight as Mickey and Eddie with Gemma Broderick as Linda.

The returning cast for 2025 also includes Sarah Jane Buckley (Mrs Lyons), Tim Churchill (Mr Lyons), Chloe Pole (Donna Marie), Alex Harland (Policeman/Teacher), Graeme Kinniburgh (Postman/Bus Conductor), Jess Smith (Brenda), James Ledsham (Sammy) and Dominic Gore (Neighbour).

Directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright Ltd, the creative team for the production also includes resident director Tim Churchill, musical supervisor Matt Malone, sound designer Dan Samson, set and costume designer Andy Walmsley and lighting designer Nick Richings.

Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time, award-winning playwright Russell’s Blood Brothers has won hearts across the globe. Debuting on Russell’s home ground in Liverpool before arriving in the West End in 1983, the original London production of Blood Brothers won two Oliviers, for Best New Musical and the Best Actress in a Musical Award for the original Mrs Johnstone, Barbara Dickson.

Following the late Bill Kenwright’s first national touring production, the show returned to the West End in 1988 with a revival production that featured an Olivier Award-winning performance by Con O’Neill. The production would remain in the West End for 24 years, playing more than 10,000 performances, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. The show has since completed sold-out seasons in the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan.
