Rebekah Lowings will reprise her performance as lovelorn Molly Jenson alongside fellow returnee Jacqui Dubois’ not-so-fake psychic Oda Mae Brown in the upcoming UK tour of Bill Kenwright Ltd’s critically acclaimed production of the hit Ghost The Musical.
Lowings (The Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar) and Dubois (Rent, People, Places and Things) will be joined by Josh St Clair (Frozen) as Sam, James Mateo-Salt (Bonnie & Clyde) as Carl Bruner and comedian turned musical theatre performer Les Dennis (Only Fool and Horses The Musical, Hairspray) as Hospital Ghost and Lionel Ferguson, and Jules Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) who will reprise his performance as Willie Lopez.
The cast will be completed by Garry Lee (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Subway Ghost, Tanisha Butterfield (Sister Act The Musical) as Clara, Keiahna Jackson-Jones (professional stage debut) as Louise, Molly Cleere (Mamma Mia! The Party) as Mrs Santiago/Bank Officer, Gabrielle Cummins (Annie) as Officer Wallace, Olivia-Rose Deer (professional stage debut) as Susan/Ortisha, Wade Lewin (The Lion King) as Orlando, Jamie Pritchard (Les Misérables) as Detective Bierderman and Joe Readman (Grease The Musical) in the ensemble.
Featuring a book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin based on his original film screenplay with music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, the production which is directed by Bob Tomson will open at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury from 22-24 August.
Choreographed by Alistair David with design by Mark Bailey, lighting design by Nick Richings, sound design by Dan Samson, and illusions by Nick Richings, the production will follow its launch run in Aylesbury by visiting Sunderland, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Darlington, Cheltenham, Leicester, Torquay, Coventry, Bradford, Aberdeen, Stoke, Bath and Blackpool.
The 2025 leg of the tour will open at Churchill Theatre in Bromley, before visiting High Wycombe, Wimbledon, Southampton, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham and Hull. Further 2025 dates are to be announced.
The musical version of the much-loved Oscar-winning film received its world premiere in Manchester in 2011 ahead of its West End debut in the summer and a Broadway transfer in 2012. The first UK tour opened in Cardiff in April 2013.
