Elijah Ferreira and Jade Johnson will star in the premiere of post-apocalyptic musical comedy Help! We’re Still Alive at London’s Seven Dials Playhouse next month.
Ferreria (Safe, Hackney Empire, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Leeds Playhouse/Home Manchester) and Johnson (The Color Purple, Cadogan Hall, Club Mex: Immersive Club Musical, Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester) will play the only survivors of the apocalypse in the gig-style musical.
Described as ‘28 Days Later meets When Harry Meets Sally’, Tim Gilvin and Imogen Palmer’s new show is due to play the central London venue from 5 September until 15 October 2022.
Directed by OFFIE-nominee Georgie Rankcom (Anyone Can Whistle, Southwark Playhouse) the creative team also includes musical director Ben McQuigg, set and costume designer Lu Herbert, lighting designer Lucía Sánchez Roldán, sound designer Simon Arrowsmith and stage manager Imogen Brown, with photography by Danny Kaan and artwork by Jed Berry.
