Casting has been announced for the world premiere of new musical Reputation at The Other Palace Studio in November.
Written by Alick Glass and set in the 1930s, the musical that celebrates the sounds and musical rhythms of the era will star Jeremy Secomb (Sweeney Todd, Les Misérables, West End), Maddy Banks (The Band, West End and UK tour) and Ed Wade (Fiddler on the Roof, West End). They will be joined by Cory Peterson, Lauren Ingram, Charlie Dennis, Ashleigh Cavanagh and Eleanor Tollan.
Set in Hollywood in the late 1930s, the story focuses on a conman who plagiarises the work of a young novelist and manages to secure an Oscar nomination. The writer’s fight back is told through 25 original songs and romantic ballads written in the style of the best-loved lyricists of the mid-1900s.
Running from 5-14 November 2019, the production will be directed by Warren Wills who will also take charge of musical direction. The creative team will also include choreographer Tamsyn Salter, with lighting by Nick Richings, music production by Jordan Brown and casting by Anne Vosser.
