Currently starring as Princess Anna in Frozen in London’s West End, this is an EP of favourites from Stephanie McKeon.
The tracks are: ‘Here You Come Again’, ‘Something Good’, ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’, ‘Stay’ and ’God Only Knows’.
These aren’t karaoke versions of the songs but have got a twist to them that makes them all the more listenable and also more personal to McKeon herself. All five tracks are outstanding but the one that makes the most impact is ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’.
Known, of course, from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard and the ageing actress making her comeback – McKeon’s twist on this track is having a totally different comeback – that of coming back from the Covid pandemic and actors being able to get back to what they love doing – being back in the theatre.
Short and sweet – hopefully a full album will be on its way. She certainly deserves it.
