Charlie Stemp and Danielle Hope will star in London Palladium panto Snow White

Charlie Stemp will return to the London Palladium to star as the Prince opposite Danielle Hope’s Snow White in this year’s eagerly-anticipated Christmas pantomime.

Following his successful Broadway debut in Hello, Dolly!, the Half a Sixpence star will return to the Palladium to join four other favourites from last year’s Dick Whittington, Julian Clary, Nigel Havers, Gary Wilmot and Paul Zerdin.

Clary will play The Man in The Mirror, with Zerdin as Muddles, Havers as The Understudy and Wilmot as Mrs Crumble.

As previously announced, Dawn French will make her pantomime debut as The Wicked Queen in the production which will run from Saturday 8 December 2018 until Sunday 13 January 2019.

For Hope, the winner of the TV talent search Over the Rainbow, the panto role will mark her return to the venue where she starred as Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Wizard of Oz.

The cast of Snow White at the London Palladium will also include former Strictly favourites Vincent and Flavia as The King and The Queen, and Josh Bennett, Simeon Dyer, Craig Garner, Ben Goffe, Jamie John, Blake Lisle and Andrew Martin as The Magnificent Seven.

They are joined by ensemble members Faye Best, Myles Brown, Darragh Cowley, Ivan De Freitas, Scott English, Liz Ewing, Ross Finnie, Diana Girbau, Matt Holland, Abigayle Honeywill, Stevie Hutchinson, Jemima Loddy, Megan Louch, Mollie McGugan, James Paterson, Leanne Pinder, Oliver Roll, Jordan Rose, Aaron J Smith, Lucie-Mae Sumner, Carrie Sutton, Grant Thresh and Charlotte Wilmot along with The Palladium Pantoloons.

Following on from Cinderella and Dick Whittington, the third brand new production created for the iconic London Palladium will again have scenery designed by Ian Westbrook, with costumes designed by Hugh Durrant, visual special effects by The Twins FX, lighting by Ben Cracknell, and original music by Gary Hind.

Produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison for leading pantomime producer Qdos Entertainment, the Palladium version of one of the best-loved pantomime stories will also be directed by Harrison.

With over 719 pantomimes to their credit staged over the past three decades, Qdos Entertainment is widely regarded as the world’s biggest and most successful producer of pantomimes.

Charlie Stemp will play Bert in Mary Poppins when the musical returns to London’s Prince Edward Theatre in late August 2019.
