Home viewers will get their chance to enjoy Chichester Festival Theatre’s sold-out concert Celebrating Sondheim: Sunday In The Park With Daniel when the star-studded celebration of the music of Stephen Sondheim is streamed live from the Festival Theatre on 1 November at 1pm.
Marking the legendary writer’s 90th birthday Celebrating Sondheim: Sunday In The Park With Daniel will be hosted by the popular venue’s artistic director Daniel Evans.
Evans will reunite with Jenna Russell (Merrily We Roll Along, Menier Chocolate Factory and Harold Pinter Theatre) his co-star in the award-winning London and Tony-nominated Broadway revivals of Sunday in the Park with George for the fundraising concert in support of Chichester Festival Theatre’s work with vulnerable young people.
They will be joined by Chichester Festival Theatre favourites Clive Rowe (Me and My Girl), Hannah Waddingham (Kiss Me, Kate) and one of the stars of the venue’s summer event Concert in the Park and Gabrielle Brooks (The Wizard of Oz, Sheffield Crucible).
Celebrating Sondheim: Sunday In The Park With Daniel is part of a live, socially distanced autumn season of entertainment which launches on 29 October and runs until early January 2021. The indoor programme follows on from a successful outdoor event held over the August Bank Holiday weekend
