Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell to lead series of Donmar shows

Olivier Award-winners Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell are reuniting to curate a series of special musical theatre-themes evening shows at the Donmar Warehouse.

The pair who won Olivier Awards for their performances in the acclaimed 2007 production of Sunday in the Park With George, will join forces once again next month for four cabaret-style shows entitled Donmar Lates.

Featuring a programme of songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Noël Coward and Lin-Manuel Miranda, Evans (Merrily We Roll Along, Grand Hotel, Donmar Warehouse) will take time out from his successful role as artistic director at the Chichester Festival Theatre to take to the stage alongside Russell (Into The Woods, Donmar Warehouse, Grey Gardens, Southwark Playhouse) accompanied by a three-piece band led by musical director Theo Jamieson.

Each set of two 9.15pm shows will also feature special guests with Hannah Waddingham (Spamalot, Palace Theatre, A Little Night Music, Menier Chocolate Factory) joining the pair on 25 and 26 March and Giles Terera (Hamilton, Victoria Palace, Avenue Q,  Noël Coward Theatre) stepping in on 27 and 28 March.
