Disney Theatrical Productions has announced another extension to the crowd-pleasing West End debut run of Frozen in response to high public demand.

The spectacular production which has been playing to packed houses at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane since last August, will continue to bring Elsa’s frozen world to London audiences until at least March 2023.

The lavish stage musical version of the highest-grossing animated film of all time, will welcome a new Anna and Kristoff from 28 September when ensemble member and second cover Anna, Emily Lane (Before The Party, Almeida Theatre) and Arts Ed graduate Djavan van de Fliert (professional stage debut) step into the roles currently played by Stephanie McKeon and Obioma Ugoala.

The pair will join a company led by West End and Broadway actress Samantha Barks (Les Misérables, Queen’s Theatre, Pretty Woman, Chicago and New York) as snow queen Elsa, Craig Gallivan (School of Rock, New London Theatre, Billy Elliot, Victoria Palace Theatre) as Olaf, Oliver Ormson (Back to the Future The Musical, Manchester Opera House, High Fidelity, Turbine Theatre) as Hans, Richard Frame (The Lion King, Lyceum Theatre, Promises, Promises, Sheffield Theatres) as Weselton, with Mikayla Jade (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Old Guard) and Ashley Birchall (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma! Kilworth House) alternating the role of Sven.

Continuing as part of the ensemble are: Jeremy Batt, Laura Emmitt, Matt Gillett, Justin-Lee Jones, Jacqui Sanchez (Queen Iduna), Jak Skelly (Oaken/Bishop), Kerry Spark (King Agnarr), Anna Woodside, and Luke Fraser Yates; who will be joined by Rhianne Alleyne, Danny Becker, Marianne Bardgett, Rebecca Botterill, Char Burnett (Bulda), Collette Coleman, Davide Fienauri, Jemal Felix, Jordan Fox, Molly Francis, Harriet Samuels, Isabella Glanznig Santos, Ben Irish (Pabbie), Aoife Kenny, Jordan Livesey, Joshua Robinson, Caitlin Tipping and Rodney Vubya.

With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and book by Jennifer Lee, director Michael Grandage’s production features set and costume designs by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, choreography by Rob Ashford, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry and musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus.

One of the hottest tickets on Broadway since its opening in March 2018, the lavish stage musical was hand-picked as the reopening production for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane following the completion of a £60 million renovation and restoration project.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, Frozen caught the imagination of audiences across the world from the moment it was first released into cinemas in 2013. The double Oscar winner was written and co-directed by Lee (with Chris Buck) with music and lyrics by Anderson-Lopez and Lopez.
