The critic and crowd-pleasing Heathers The Musical will embark on a highly anticipated UK and Ireland in early 2023.
Following two record-breaking seasons in London at The Other Palace along with a West End transfer run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Westerberg’s finest will enrol at venues across the UK and in Ireland following a launch season at the Theatre Royal, Windsor from 14-25 February 2023.
Presented by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor-Mills, the touring production of the fan-favourite black comedy rock musical will hit the road just a few days before the multi-award-winner ends its current successful run at its original London home, The Other Palace.
Following Windsor, the tour is due to visit Woking (New Victoria Theatre, 7-11 March 2023), Brighton (Theatre Royal, 14-18 March), Bath (Theatre Royal, 21-25 March), Mold (Theatr Clywd, 28 March-1 April), Stoke-On-Trent (11-15 April), Dublin (Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, 25 April-6 May), York (Opera House, 9-13 May), Birmingham (The Alexandra, 16-20 May), Aylesbury (Waterside Theatre, 30 May-3 June), Sunderland (Empire Theatre, 20-24 June), Glasgow, King’s Theatre (27 June-1 July), Liverpool (The Empire, 4-8 July) and Manchester (Palace Theatre, 8-12 August).

A record-breaker at The Other Palace within days of tickets first going on sale, Heathers The Musical was the first show from The Other Palace to move from a studio workshop to a main house production before becoming the first production from the venue to celebrate a West End transfer in 2018. The production continued its record-breaking ways at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2018 and went on to win the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical 2019.
A re-working of the cult classic 1980s film Heathers which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers The Musical features music, lyrics and book by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy.
Based on Daniel Waters’ original screenplay for Michael Lehmann’s dark tale of murderous teenage angst, Heathers The Musical was initially presented at The Other Palace in workshop form in 2017 as the venue’s first work in progress production.
The musical arrived in the UK following successful runs in the US in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, and in Sydney Australia. Featuring new material exclusively written for the London production by Murphy and O’Keefe, the production is directed by the show’s original Off-Broadway director Andy Fickman, choreography is by Gary Lloyd, with designs by David Shields, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound by Dan Samson.
