Anthology Theatre has confirmed the full cast and creative team for the London premiere of Tim Firth’s award-winning musical This is My Family at Southwark Playhouse Elephant this summer.
Directed by Olivier Award-winner Vicky Featherstone (Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour), the musical will begin preview performances at the south London venue from 23 May ahead of an opening night on 28 May. The season will run until 12 July.
The production will star Nancy Allsop (Annie, Piccadilly Theatre, The Sound of Music, international tour) as Nicky, Victoria Elliott (I Can’t Sing!, London Palladium, The Wind in the Willows, Northern Stage) as Sian, Michael Jibson (Hamilton, Victoria Palace Theatre, Our House, Cambridge Theatre) as Steve, recent Arts Ed-graduate Luke Lambert (professional stage debut) as Matt, Gay Soper (The Mousetrap, St Martin’s Theatre, Funny Girl, Savoy Theatre) as May and Gemma Whelan (Underdog: The Other Other Brontë, National Theatre, Upstart Crow, Apollo Theatre) as Yvonne.
Music supervision for the production is by Caroline Humphris, set design is by Chloe Lamford, lighting design is by Lee Curran, sound design is by Dominic Bilkey, costume design and associate set design is by Ethan Cheek and music direction is by Natalie Pound. The casting director is Amy Ball and the associate director is Vaila Anderson.

The comedic and uplifting tale of a disastrous family holiday that ultimately brings a family back together again, the UK Theatre Award-winning musical was originally staged at Sheffield Theatre in 2013.
