Music Theatre International (MTI) has confirmed the full list of songs which will be available free of charge for its eagerly-awaited weekend-long event, All Together Now! A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre.
As previously announced the revue will include songs from the musicals of such luminaries as Stephen Schwartz; Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty; Cameron Mackintosh; Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schönberg and Herbert Kretzmer; Disney Theatrical Group; Frank Loesser; Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe; Tim Minchin; Jonathan Larson; Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman; Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley; Frank Wildhorn; Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin; and Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich.
The list of authors and rightsholders donating their work will be completed by Stephen Sondheim, Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Glenn Slater, Jack Feldman, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Green Day, Disney Theatrical Productions, Jeanine Tesori, Dick Scanlan, Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Benj Pasek adn Justin Paul, Jason Robert Brown, David Hein and Irene Sankoff, Sara Bareilles, Lionel Bart, Jason Howland, Mindi Dickstein, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.
Developed by the theatrical licensing agency the four-day event will celebrate the return of live performances to theatres across the world from 12-15 November 2021.
Paying tribute the writers whose work will feature in the revue, MTI’s president and CEO, Drew Cohen said: “MTI is grateful for the generosity and support of the authors and rightsholders contributing songs from their iconic musicals to the All Together Now! revue. Theatre is about community and these authors are doing their part to reignite in-person theatre at all levels.”
Featuring some of musical theatre’s best-loved songs, the revue has been created by librettist Timothy Allen McDonald (James and the Giant Peach) director, choreographer and associate artistic director of The York Theatre Company, Gerry McIntyre (Berkshire Theatre Group’s Godspell); director and choreographer Racky Plews (American Idiot West End, UK and international tour); director Jeff Calhoun (9 to 5, Savoy Theatre, UK tour); and Music Theatre International’s chief operating officer and director of education and development, John Prignano.

Jones The Musical), ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat’ (Hairspray) and ‘You Could Drive a Person Crazy’ (Company).
Announcing the full song list, John Prignano, MTI’s chief operating officer and director of education and development, said: “We designed the revue with multiple song options for each slot so theatres have flexibility with how they present the show.
“The option to choose from two or three fantastic songs for each slot allows producers to tailor the show to best fit their artistic/creative vision, the talents of their cast, and the composition of their audience.”
The work featured in the revue will be made available free of charge with none of the usual rental or royalty fees attached. Participating organisations will be able to license MTI’s All Together Now! as a fundraiser for their own theatre and will be able to perform it live, streamed or as a combination of both. MTI’s All Together Now! will be available for licensing later this month.
