Half-term run for Unusual Theatre Company’s The Three Little Pigs

The Unusual Theatre Company will present a socially-distanced live theatre version of award-winning composers Stiles and Drewe’s The Three Little Pigs later this month.

Aimed at half-term audiences, the family-friendly production at Dorking Halls in Surrey from 26-29 October 2020 will be directed by Victoria Gimby (associate director for Rock of Ages UK tour) with musical direction by Flynn Sturgeon (Soho Cinders, Charing Cross Theatre).

The cast includes Lizzie Wofford as Mother Pig, Colin Burnicle as The Wolf, Kristin Morse as Bar, Jessica Niles as Bee, Bradley Judge as Q and Heather Kirk (Walking Cover).

With music by George Stiles and a book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins, Half A Sixpence and The Wind In The Willows) the musical was commissioned by the Singapore Repertory Theatre, the first in a trilogy of folktale-inspired ‘trios’ (with Goldilocks and The Three Bears and The Three Billy Goats Gruff).

The show premiered with a sold-out season in Singapore in 2012 and a year later became the first children’s show selected for the National Alliance For Musical Theatre’s Festival of New Musicals in New York.

The Three Little Pigs made its West End debut at the Palace Theatre in 2015 with a production starring former boyband star Simon Webbe (Sister Act The Musical) as the Big Bad Wolf and Olivier Award-winner Alison Jiear (Jerry Springer The Opera) as Mummy Pig.
