Actress of the moment Hannah Waddingham will take centre stage in an Apple TV Christmas Special recorded live at the London Coliseum.
Featuring the Emmy-winning Ted Lasso star and special guests (Phil Dunster, Luke Evans, Leslie Odom Jr, Sam Ryder and more) performing festive classics accompanied by an 18-piece band, Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas will debut on Apple TV+ on 22 November 2023.
Produced by Done + Dusted, the same team behind Apple’s hit Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, the holiday special is directed by BAFTA Award winner Hamish Hamilton with musical direction by David Tench. Waddingham is one of the executive producers alongside Katy Mullan, Moira Ross, Raj Kapoor and Nick Todisco.
A triple Olivier Award nominee (for Spamalot, A Little Night Music and Kiss Me, Kate), Waddingham has appeared in numerous major productions including The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium and the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Into the Woods.
The London-born actress and singer first attracted attention as The Lady of The Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot, a role which she originated in London and then reprised on Broadway. Her screen career has included roles in ITV comedy Benidorm, the blockbusting Game of Thrones and the surprise hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award and two Critics Choice Television Awards.
