Michael Harrison and David Ian’s hit production of Annie will embark on a UK tour next year, opening at Leicester Curve on 25 February 2023.

Directed by Nikolai Foster with set and costume design by Colin Richmond, choreography by Nick Winston, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Richard Brooker, the popular version of the Broadway smash previously toured the UK and Ireland in 2015/2016 and in 2019 has also played extended runs in the West End and Toronto.

Following the Leicester run the production will visit Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Oxford, Southampton, Dartford, Stoke-on-Trent, Llandudno, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool, Woking, Cardiff, Bradford, Southend, Bromley and Norwich. Further dates and casting will be announced at a later date.

With an award-winning book by Thomas Meehan and an award-winning score by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin and set in New York during the Great Depression, the story of brave young orphan Annie debuted on Broadway in 1977. The original Broadway production ran for a record breaking six years, and collected seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score.
