Choreographer, director and TV personality Arlene Phillips will take centre stage for a special in-conversation with cabaret star La Voix at London’s Duchess Theatre in June.
An Evening with Arlene Phillips on 7 June 2021 will take the audience on a journey through a glittering career that has established Phillips as one of the UK’s most recognisable stage and screen choreographers. Phillips’ lifetime in dance has taken her from the big screen with credits including the 1982 version of Annie to the West End stage famously choreographing Starlight Express and the original stage production of Saturday Night Fever.
Announcing the London show, Phillips said: “I am so excited to appear at the Duchess Theatre in the glorious West End with my friend La Voix. It’s an honour to be one of the first scheduled shows at this beautiful theatre and I look forward to seeing audiences fill up venues as theatre awakens from its hibernation.”
La Voix added: “Arlene has worked with everyone! The biggest names in music, theatre and television. When she was begging to share the stage with me I couldn’t refuse. On this night I get to sit down with a legend and grill her for the best gossip, untold stories and secrets that no one has got out of her. It’s going to be a night of Hot Gossip, a hot red head and the hottest ticket in town.”
In line with UK Government guidelines, safety measures in place for the show include a new online ticketing system that will allow theatregoers to choose specific seats with the space around them automatically removed to ensure social distancing.
