Hit children’s show Tiddler and other Terrific Tales is swimming back to London this summer with a short run at the New Theatre in Cardiff followed by a three-week season at London’s Cadogan Hall.
Adapted from the bestselling picture books by writer Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, the family-friendly show which takes its audiences on an enchanting journey from under the sea, to out on the farm and into the jungle will play performances in Cardiff from 25-27 July 2022 before its limited engagement in London from 29 July until 21 August.
Presented by Freckle Productions, Tiddler and other Terrific Tales weaves together four stories (Tiddler, Monkey Puzzle, The Smartest Giant in Town, A Squash and a Squeeze) from the multi-award-winning literary team of Donaldson and Scheffler.
Featuring a collection of colourful characters, the mix of live music and puppetry is directed by Mark Kane with original direction by Sally Cookson. The production boasts music and lyrics by Benji Bower, designs by Katie Sykes, lighting design by El Higgins and musical direction by Brian Hargreaves.
Specialists in family entertainment, Freckle Productions’ much-loved adaptation of Donaldson and Scheffler’s Zog played a crowd-pleasing summer season at Cadogan Hall last year. The company’s other adaptations include Stick Man, Tabby McTat and Zog and the Flying Doctors which is currently touring the UK.
