London concert and festival date for Broadway’s Melissa Errico

Tony-nominated actress and singer Melissa Errico will play two London concerts ahead of making an appearance at the Lichfield Music Festival early this month.

Best known for her acclaimed performances in Broadway musicals Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Dracula the Musical, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, and Amour which earned her a Tony-nomination, Errico will be joined by James Pearson (piano), Graeme Blevins (saxophone), Sam Burgess (bass) and Chris Higginbottom (drums) for the two performances at London’s Crazy Coqs on 10 July and at the Lichfield Music Festival on 11 July.

The concerts, The Life and Loves of a Broadway Baby, will feature standards from the Great American Songbook by music legends as varied as Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, along with greatest hits from her long-term collaborators, including the late and much-missed musical theatre legends, Stephen Sondheim and Michel Legrand. Subtitled ‘The Mis-Education of Melissa Errico’, the evening will also include personal tales of life on (and off) stage.

Errico recently made her Carnegie Hall debut with the NY Pops and played a sold-out 10 performance residency at Birdland Jazz Club in New York.
