Award-winning international theatre and singing star Lorna Dallas will bring her latest show Glamorous Nights and Rainy Days to London’s Crazy Coqs in April.

Conceived with the star’s long-time collaborators director Barry Kleinbort and musical director Christopher Denny and featuring standards and rarities by composers as diverse as Michel Legrand, Harold Arlen, Jerry Herman and Ivor Novello, Dallas’ latest live show will debut in London on 3 and 5 April 2022.

The programme will also include the premiere of two songs – one intended for an un-produced musical about P.T. Barnum, and the other, a special commission by Amanda McBroom and Ann Hampton Callaway – and a performance of the complete ‘Here’s That Rainy Day’.

The London shows will also mark the launch of Dallas’ new CD Rainbows on Stage Door Records.

Born in Carrier Mills, Illinois the singer’s first taste of the spotlight came at 17 when she won Talentsville USA, a nationwide talent contest sponsored by Coca-Cola. Dallas made her West End debut as Magnolia starring alongside Cleo Laine in Show Boat at the Adelphi Theatre in 1971.

Dallas fell in love with London life and stayed in the UK to appear in various major musicals including Side By Side By Sondheim, The King and I and a famous production of Hello, Dolly! with Danny La Rue.

In concert, the singer has performed at prestigious venues including the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London and at Carnegie Hall in New York.
