Casting has been announced for The Mill at Sonning’s Christmas production of Lerner and Loewe’s timeless My Fair Lady.
Following on from last year’s record-breaking production of High Society, My Fair Lady will play the festive season at the distinctive Thames-side venue from 23 November until 27 January 2018, with a press night on 29 November.
Bethan Nash will take on the iconic role of flower girl Eliza Doolittle opposite Martin Fisher as the man who changes her life, Professor Higgins.
The cast will also include: Eric Carte as Colonel Pickering; Felicity Duncan as Mrs Pearce; Francesca Ellis as Mrs Eynsford-Hill; Alex Hammond as Freddy Eynsford-Hill; Susan Kyd as Mrs Higgins; and Rachel Moran as Clara Eynsford-Hill. The cast also includes: Spencer O’Brien, Amanda Sim, Phil Snowden and James William-Pattison
The creative team behind last year’s High Society will return to The Mill for the production, headed by director and choreographer Joseph Pitcher. Musical arrangement will be by Charlie Ingles with musical direction by Joe Bunker, set design by Michael Holt and costume design by Natalie Tichener. The team will be completed by assistant choreographer Rachel Moran.
