National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals 2026 full line-up

The full line-up of musicals has been confirmed for the fifth instalment of the popular National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals later this month.

Hosted by Jason Manford, the celebration of the best of musical theatre will return to the AO Arena in Manchester on 26 January with a line-up that includes the new production of Miss Saigon and an exclusive performance from Jesus Christ Superstar with Sam Ryder making his debut as Jesus.

As previously announced, the event will also feature Mel Brooks’ The Producers along with the West End productions of Wicked and I’m Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical starring Alexandra Burke. New shows added include: The Lion King, Oliver!, Sunny Afternoon and Paddington The Musical, plus an exclusive Disney medley. There will also be a performance from Annie featuring La Voix, plus a special number from a National Lottery-funded choir featuring the musical The Choir of Man.

The show was created as a thank you to players of the National Lottery who have helped contribute over £1.4 billion in funding to more than 29,000 theatre-related projects in the UK over the last 31 years.

Looking forward to the event, comedian and actor Manford said: “Every year, Big Night of Musicals gets bigger and better, and 2026 is no exception. We’ve got an incredible mix of iconic shows and brand-new productions coming together for one unforgettable night. It’s a celebration of the magic of theatre and a heartfelt thank you to National Lottery players who make so much of this possible. I can’t wait to share this spectacular evening with everyone at the AO Arena.”

The fifth instalment of The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the spring.
