Just under a month after they make their debut as The Emcee and Sally Bowles, Grammy Award winner Reeve Carney (Hadestown, Lyric Theatre/National Theatre/ Broadway) and double Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner Eva Noblezada (Hadestown, National Theatre/Broadway, Miss Saigon, West End/Broadway) will be among the guests of honour at the fourth Musical Con next month.
For the first time this year, West End queen Kerry Ellis (Wicked, We Will Rock You, Chess and Miss Saigon) will be attending the convention as guest of honour as ExCel London is once again turned into a haven for musical theatre lovers on 18 and 19 October for the popular musical theatre fan convention.
Other special guests include Olivier Award winners Layton Williams (Titanique, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Billy Elliot) and Andy Nyman (The Producers, Hello, Dolly!, Fiddler on the Roof) alongside Shanay Holmes (Oliver!, The Bodyguard, Miss Saigon), Lauren Drew (Titanique, Les Misérables, Lizzie), Frances Mayli McCann (Great Gatsby, Heathers, Death Note, Bonnie & Clyde), Zoe Birkett (Tina, Moulin Rouge!, The Bodyguard), Jordan Luke Gage (Titanique, Bonnie & Clyde, Heathers), Glenn Adamson (Bat Out of Hell, Rocky Horror Picture Show), Katie Tonkinson (Bat Out of Hell, Bonnie & Clyde), Marc Antolin (The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors), Natalie Kassanga (Moulin Rouge!, Dream Girls), Mitchell Zhangazha (MJ, Motown, Ain’t Too Proud), Hannah Lowther (Six, Heathers), Ivano Turco (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Bad Cinderella), Charlie Burn (Mean Girls), Ellie Skye (Mean Girls, We Will Rock You), Desmonda Cathabel (Hadestown, Miss Saigon) and Laura Dawkes (Frozen Disney +).
Starlight Express alumni Jade Marvin, Jeevan Braich and Tom Pilgrim are also set to appear along with Clueless stars Emma Flynn, Keelan Mcauley, Romona Lewis and Chyna Friederick and I Have a Dream Stars Stevie Doc and Tobias Turley.
Over 10,000 musical theatre lovers from across the globe have attended the first three Musical Con event with attendees treated to hundreds of hours of programming with each event boasting a large number of special guest stars.
Following a successful debut in 2022, the event has grown year on year to offer everything for the musical theatre fanatic.
Highlights from last year’s weekend featured appearances from a star-studded line-up of special guests including Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner André De Shields (Broadway’s Hadestown, The Wiz), Todrick Hall (Broadway’s Chicago, Kinky Boots) and Layton Williams (Cabaret, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), as well as the stars and creatives from Oliver!, Hamilton and Mean Girls. One of the biggest attractions was an exhibition of a treasure trove of costumes, set pieces and props from Cameron Mackintosh Productions.
Attendees for 2025 can look forward to unique performances, meet and greets, exclusive panels and spotlights on the biggest shows in town. There will also be cosplay, competitions, fan meets, inspiring workshops and masterclasses and a huge marketplace filled with merchandise and photo opportunities.
