New dates and new look for West End Musical Celebration – Live At The Palace Theatre

The postponed festive show West End Musical Christmas – Live at London’s Palace Theatre has been re-scheduled and re-branded after the show was shelved due to the December Covid-closedown.

Now re-titled West End Musical Celebration – Live At The Palace Theatre, the star packed celebration of musical theatre will now play the Palace Theatre from 6 to 9 May at 7pm with matinee performances at 2pm on 8 and 9 May.

Created by the team behind the popular West End Musical Brunch events and the West End Musical Drive-In series working with producer Nica Burns the six shows had been due to form the grand finale of the Nimax Theatre’s autumn season of socially distanced shows.

Announcing the new dates producers Shanay Holmes and Chris Steward [pictured] said: “As with our highly successful drive-in shows we invite the audience to ‘step into the world of musicals’ and ‘become the cast’ in this immersive and interactive concert!”

West End Musical Celebration – Live At The Palace Theatre will be directed and choreographed by Tom Jackson Greaves with musical direction and arrangements by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Rob Bettle and costume design by Faye Young.

The theatre shows follow on from last year’s crowd-pleasing West End Musical Drive-In series which brought West End-quality entertainment to thousands of theatre-hungry people during the Covid-closedown.

Launched in July 2020, the 13 musical theatre-themed shows featured over 70 performers including West End favourites Kerry Ellis, John Owen-Jones, Alice Fearn, Layton Williams, Rachel Tucker, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Jamie Muscato, Sophie Evans, Louise Dearman and Lucie Jones.
