New musical The Jazz Section to play London’s Union Theatre

Hit new British musical The Jazz Section will follow its successful runs at the Camden Fringe and at The Town and Gown Theatre in Cambridge by playing dates at the Union Theatre.

Produced and presented by Ryan J Productions and Rachael Nolan Productions in association with Theatre Poco a Poco, the actor/musician production will play the London venue from 19-23 October 2021.

Inspired by the story of Karel Srp and Vladimir Kouir’s jazz revolution in 1980s Prague, the musical has a book, music and lyrics by Theatre Poco a Poco’s co-artistic directors Joy Gingell, Laurence Stannard, and Mariam Abdel-Razek. Gingell directs the production with musical direction by Stannard, and lighting design by Chloe Stally-Gibson.

The Jazz Section stars Arthur Goggin as Karel Srp and Paul Storrs as Vladimir Kouril, with Lydia Clay-White as Emili, Fintan Quinn as Dansky and Rachel Oyawale as Masita.
