London entertainment hub Live At Zédel will follow up the success of After You, the venue’s first full-length musical with a series of musicals written by new writers produced specifically for the popular venue.
Part of a packed autumn/winter season, produced once again in partnership with Fane Productions Ltd, the series will launch with Henry Roadnight and Adam Johnson’s comic piece The Dysfunctional Guide to Being a Third Wheel (29-30 October) and Alex James Ellison and Tom Lees’ touching Fiver (26-27 November).
The eclectic programme of live music, musical theatre, comedy and cabaret will once again feature new talent alongside established acts at the venue which utilises the distinctively different Brasserie Zédel and Crazy Coqs spaces within the Zédel building in the heart of Soho.
Cabaret act La Voix will once again host her own show featuring a series of conversations with stage and screen favourites including Su Pollard, Jennifer Saunders and Harriet Thorpe.
Janie Dee [pictured above] will take time out from co-starring at the National in Follies to play two shows Janie Dee: Off The Record and Janie Dee: At The BBC in October, while record-breaking West End and Broadway star John Owen-Jones will play three concerts in December.
Former Wicked leading lady Suzie Mathers, popular singer Lorna Dallas, Fascinating Aida’s Dillie Keane and Mad Men’s Bryan Batt are among the stars lined up to perform in cabaret.
The programme also includes a brand new monthly residency The Late Late Show with Sunday Show Tunes which will feature the host of musical theatre radio show Sunday Show Tunes, Paul Branch, and his trusty side-kick Maureen.
