The international touring version of the crowd and critic pleasing musical SIX will welcome a new set of Queens next month.
Making their debut at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on 15 July, the new touring Queens will be Madison Swan (Catherine of Aragon), Izi Maxwell (Anne Boleyn), Laura Dawkes (Jane Seymour), Hannah Victoria (Anna Cleves), Lizzie Emery (Katherine Howard) and Eloise Lord (Catherine Parr). Lorren Santo-Quinn, Rosie Singha and Erin Summerhayes will be joining the cast as Alternates, with Super Swings Selen Berry and Darcy Stewart. The cast is backed by the show’s all-female band, The Ladies in Waiting, led by musical director Yutong Zhang.
Following the opening run in Bromley, the production will play dates across the UK until 26 September before heading for China for a 12-week tour up to 20 December 2026.
SIX is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage and features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey (set design), Gabriella Slade (costume design), Tim Deiling (lighting design) and Paul Gatehouse (sound design).
Orchestrations are by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton. The musical director is Caitlin Morgan and the associate UK musical supervisor is Lauren Hopkinson. Casting is by Pearson Casting. SIX is produced by Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes and George Stiles.
Written by university friends Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the musical which puts the spotlight on the wives of Henry VIII as they form a 21st century girl band has come a long way from its early days as a student production in a 100-seat room at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The London production’s record-breaking reign at its current home, the Vaudeville Theatre, shows no sign of flagging while on the international stage, the Broadway production is now booking into its fourth year. SIX has toured the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Holland, Germany, Italy and Switzerland and enjoyed a seven-week season at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.
Winner of over 35 major international awards including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design on Broadway, two WhatsOnStage Awards for Best West End Show (2022 and 2023) and the 2020 BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical, SIX was also nominated for five Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical.
The original studio album of SIX officially turned Gold in 2021, with the Broadway album ‘SIX – Live on Opening Night’ nominated for a Grammy Award. The live-captured film release of SIX the Musical Live was seen in cinemas across the UK, broadcast on the most screens of any limited release cinema event, beating Taylor Swift’s Eras tour.
