Oklahoma!, with Dex Lee as Curly, Katie Hall as Laurey and Claire Moore as Aunt Eller, will be Grange Park Opera’s first musical since the company moved from Hampshire to Surrey last June and built its own 700-seater Theatre in the Woods at West Horsley Place.
The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic will open on 7 June 2018 and will run for eight performances on selected days until 7 July. Richard Balcombe will conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra and the show will be directed by Jo Davies with choreography by Andrew Wright.
Other parts will be played by Louis Gaunt, Natasha Cottrall, Philip Rhodes, Steven Serlin, Nicolas Colicos, Lauren Hood and Lee Ormsby.
Before moving out of their old headquarters at The Grange, the company staged Fiddler On the Roof with Bryn Terfel and Oliver! to great acclaim when not doing opera.
