The Old Vic’s critically-acclaimed world premiere production of Girl From the North Country will head for the West End for a strictly limited season at the end of December.
Written and directed by multi award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (The Seafarer, The Weir) and featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, the production which features a 20-strong company of actors and musicians will begin previewing at the Noel Coward Theatre on 29 December. With a press night on Thursday 11 January 2018, the season will run until Saturday 31 March.

The cast includes Sheila Atim (Shakespeare Trilogy, Donmar Warehouse; Les Blancs, National Theatre); Ron Cook (The Recruiting Officer, Cloud Nine, Royal Court); Bronagh Gallagher (Every Good Boy Deserves Favour and War Horse, National Theatre); Shirley Henderson (Shining Souls, The Old Vic, The Tempest, National Theatre); and Ciaran Hinds (Assassins, Donmar Warehouse, Closer at the National Theatre and on Broadway).
Also appearing in the production are: recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Claudia Jolly; Arinzé Kene (One Night in Miami, Donmar Warehouse, Daddy Cool, Shaftesbury Theatre); Debbie Kurup (The Threepenny Opera, National Theatre, The Bodyguard, the Adelphi Theatre); Jim Norton (The Crucible and The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Broadway); Sam Reid (‘Tis A Pity She’s a Whore, West Yorkshire Playhouse, One Night in November, Belgrade Theatre); Michael Shaeffer (All About My Mother, The Old Vic, Jesus Christ Superstar UK tour); Jack Shalloo (Groundhog Day, The Old Vic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Theatre Royal Drury Lane); and Stanley Townsend (The Alice Trilogy and The Weir, Royal Court).
Ensemble members Kirsty Malpass (Groundhog Day, The Old Vic, The Sound of Music UK tour); Tom Peters (The Crucible and Dancing at Lughnasa, The Old Vic); and Karl Queensborough (Aladdin and Cinderella, Lyric Hammersmith) complete the cast.
The creative team for the production includes: designer Rae Smith, orchestrator, arrangements and musical supervisor Simon Hale, musical director Alan Berry, movement director Lucy Hind, and associate director Joe Murphy, with lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Simon Baker.
