West End stars Shona White and Kieran Brown will bring a touch of tartan to London’s The Other Palace later this month to celebrate Burns Night.
A celebratory re-working of the duo’s sellout Scots in the City show which played the Arts Theatre in the capital in November, Scots in the City – Burns Night Special will once again feature White (Mamma Mia!, Wicked) and Brown (The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked) with musical director James Doughty.
Joining the pair’s tribute to their cherished Scottish heritage, their own musical theatre background, and the poet Robert Burns, will be a host of special guests all with Scottish roots.
Announcing the one-night-only performance on Thursday 25 January, White and Brown said: “We are delighted to have another opportunity to share an evening of song celebrating our mutual love of Scotland with a London audience at The Other Palace, particularly on Burns Night.
“We are both fiercely proud of our deep Scottish roots, and also proud to be Londoners, so this is a unique opportunity to combine both as well as share some of the iconic poems and songs penned by one of Scotland’s most prolific sons.”
Scots in the City – Burns Night Special will once again be supporting UKBorderline and Scotscare, an umbrella charity which aims to assist vulnerable and homeless young Scots in the capital.
