Improv specialists The Showstoppers are continuing on their mission to keep stay-at-home UK entertained by unveiling a brand new fully improvised musical online this week.
Following on from their successful song-in-a-day challenges and Alternative Eurovision and Online Storytime adventures, The Showstoppers will live-stream The Socially Distanced Improvised Musical at 7.30 pm on 21 July 2020.
Using state-of-the-art technology and adhering to social distancing rules, the company will take live suggestions from the audience watching at home as they create the new musical.
Developed in association with The Showstoppers’ corporate training collaborators PCA tickets will cost £7.50 with concessions at £5 plus booking fees. The livestream link will be sent to ticketholders two hours before the performance and the show will run for approximately one hour.
Every ticket sold will help to support the talented performers and the company during these difficult times.
Created by Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery, the Showstopper formula involves taking individual suggestions from each night’s audience and turning them into a brand new fully choreographed and scored musical.
Featuring a rotating company, the improvised musical theatre show was founded in London in 2008 and has proved to be a hit with audiences around the world. An Edinburgh Fringe favourite for 12 years, The Showstoppers have featured in their own BBC Radio 4 series and played to packed houses in the West End.
The Showstoppers’ lockdown efforts including all the 24 Hour Song Challenges, Storytime episodes and Alternative Eurovision can be watched at www.showstopperthemusical.com.
The Showstoppers’ Alternative Eurovision Song Contest raised over £7,000 for The Careworkers Charity and has been streamed by over 7,000 people.
Tickets can be booked at HERE.
