Olivier Award-winner Beverley Knight will reprise her performance as Deloris Van Cartier when Sister Act The Musical returns to the West End to play the Dominion Theatre early next year.
The winner of this year’s Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical (for Sylvia at The Old Vic) will return to the role she previously played during the production’s London run last summer from 15 March until 8 June 2024.
Following Knight’s final performance, the production will welcome another returning Deloris, Alexandra Burke. Burke who previously played Deloris in the 2016 tour will take centre stage again from 10 June until 31 August 2024.
The production is directed by Bill Buckhurst with choreography by Alistair David, set and costume design by Morgan Large, lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Tom Marshall and musical supervision by Stephen Brooker. Casting is by Stuart Burt.
Sister Act is produced by Jamie Wilson, Gavin Kalin, Kevin McCollum and Curve.
Based on the hit 1990s film featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith and Harvey Keitel, Sister Act features original music by multi-award-winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. The book is by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.
